THE TREATMENT OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL GOODS IN THE WORLD HERITAGE CITIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION & LATIN AMERICA

This project aims to analyze the management strategies used in the Archaeological Heritage cities declared World Heritage by UNESCO. The geographic scope consists of the European Union and Latin America, and the research goal is to evaluate the management strategies, to study their social results and propose alternatives or improvements. It has the specific aims of:

  • To study the treatment of Archaelogical Heritage in the Word Heritage Cities.
  • To develop new strategies for the protection and valorization of Archaeological Heritage.
  • To generate a meeting point to encourage the interdisciplinary and cooperative research on the treatment and management of Cultural Heritage.
  • To use the Information and Communication Technologies as basic tools for the project.
